Whatsapp new update suspicious link detection
Are you confused about the link received in WhatsApp? whether it is spam or not?. So finally after being pressurized by the Indian government due to spreading of fake and false news, which lead to the death of a number of peoples, so facebook own popular messaging platform "WhatsApp" started rolling out a feature called " suspicious link detection" for the beta user only.
According to the information provided by WAbeta info. This feature rollout is only for the Android user, but for those users who are using WhatsApp beta version 2.18.221 for Android. So every stable version user has to wait for this feature rolling out.
If the beta user still can't use this feature, then at first you have to uninstall it and again reinstall to enjoy this feature and also this is to remind to backup your data as to avoid data loss.
For normal user those who want this facility just follow the below step:
1. Search for WhatsApp beta tester in chrome browser.
2. Click on the first option of google play website.
3. Then click on "Become a tester" button.
4. Now go to the play store search for WhatsApp, here you will be got to see WhatsApp messenger change to WhatsApp messenger (beta).
5. Simply just click on the update button and enjoy this facility.
This name suggests that it would detect the link which has been sent a fake or suspicious message. This fake message or spam would label by red colour on top of it. An important point to note down that it does not send any link to WhatsApp server for detection. This detection is done by the device itself by identifying the unusual character in the link.
This would surely reduce the level of junk fake message that is being stored in WhatsApp. we also hope to see soon this feature in the stable version of WhatsApp and also for the IOS users.
