This time AI will help you to catch thieves also, so the tech giant company of Japan "Earth eye" have developed this kind of AI-based camera to reduce the shoplifting in Japan, which is also called "AI guard man". It will catch thieves by the unusual movement of the person.
This AI based security camera uses open source technology, which the researcher of Carnegie Mellon University developed last year at Github. This open source technology will help the camera to detect multiple people at the same time.
The AI guard camera detects the unusual body movement of shoplifter such as looking here & there or looking for the blind spot after detection camera warned the storekeeper with not only by message but also by displaying the image of the suspect.
But these AI based camera has still some error which is needed to be furthermore improvement as because every unusual behaviour person will person will not be the shoplifter, so these things need to manage by the storekeeper of the shop before identifying him or her as a shoplifter.
The Implementation of this test has resulted in the reduction of shoplifting by 40% (i.e. from $32,000 to $18,000) and it has been tested on major shop retailer of Japan such as Xebio, Bic Camera, and Kirino. In the upcoming day's earth eye plan to install this AI security camera in 10,000 stores of Japan within three years. This installation not only includes major shop retailer also the small shop also.
We hope this AI based camera would bring a new revolution to the future of surveillance and soon these It would available on the global market.
